As the only NASA Facility in the United States that manufactures and fabricates sounding rockets, NSROC's 25,000 sq. ft. Manufacturing & Fabrication Facility is unique. Equally unique - and absolutely indispensable to the success of every NSROC mission - are the 35 CNC and Mechanical Technicians, Machinists, Metalsmiths, Welders, Sheet Metal Workers, and Apprentices who man the shop. The shop produces an average of 11,500 parts, pieces and components a year and has consistently maintained a 98% Quality Inspection rating.

THE WET JET The Flow-International CNC Water Jet has the ability to continually repeat a function to make many items of the same size and shape; and the ability to nest parts by flipping their position to get the maximum number of parts possible from the material used. The Wet Jet can be used on almost any thickness of aluminum, steel and some plastics; and can cut a 4 hour Hurco-Ultimax job to one hour.
