Drafting Title Banner

NSROC's CAD/CAM specialists have 85 years of combined drafting/design experience; for them, drafting is the fast-paced, highly demanding and painstakingly exact science of translating the unique requirements of each sounding rocket into clear and concise blueprints for construction and QA inspection. From the skin to the nose cone to its complex interior, every sounding rocket is different and each of those differences is defined and detailed by the Drafting Design Group.

Equally demanding is the Group's work on hundreds of requests for specialized parts that fill the roster of the NSROC Machine Shop. NSROC drafting equipment includes AutoCad R2000, SolidWorks release 5.0 Cad packages, and a Xerox 510dp plotter scanner. The Adept 6.0 (Database) tracks all requests for drafting support, from initial request, through production, Quality inspection, and delivery.
